The heritage coast of Yorkshire and Whitby are easily accessed, and you can take a leisurely journey through the Esk Valley. Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington are a little further.
A must when visiting this area are the smugglers coves of Robin Hoods Bay, Staithes and Runswick Bay. Historic Hornes Hall and castles such as Uncomb Park and Castle Howard are all within easy driving distance.
